Right-handers Kendall Graveman and Mike Fiers, the A’s Opening Day starter and key midseason acquisition, respectively, are free agents after the club declined to tender them contracts by Friday’s deadline.

Also non-tendered was former Giants reliever Cory Gearrin, whom the A’s got in an Aug. 31 deal from Texas.

That trio was among a dozen A’s who were eligible for salary arbitration. The team tendered contracts to six others, most notably Khris Davis and Marcus Semien, and signed three to one-year deals to head off arbitration.
