Alex Rodriguez had some very kinds words for ESPN broadcast partner Jessica Mendoza during a conversation Kevin O'Leary at the Milken Institute Globe Conference.

"First of all, I'm a huge Jessica Mendoza fan," Rodriguez said. "I asked her, 'Would you want to be the first female general manager?' She said she hasn't thought about it and she loves what she's doing, but I think she could be. Look, she's Jackie Robinson for women broadcasters at a national level. She knows competition, she knows how to win. She's a winner."

Mendoza, 37, played softball at Stanford and won both a gold and silver medal with Team USA.
