First baseman Nick Johnson suffered a setback in his rehab from a bruised heel and won't be ready to return right after the All-Star break, the Washington Post reported.
Johnson was limping and felt discomfort when running in the outfield on Friday before the Nationals' game at Philadelphia and sat out Sunday when he was scheduled to begin a rehab assignment in Harrisburg.
Manager Frank Robinson told the paper there is no immediate timetable for Johnson's return.
"That type of injury, nobody can determine how well it is and how bad it is," Robinson told the paper. "It's in there in the heel, and that's a tough injury to really have a feel for how good it is or how bad it is, really."
