The Los Angeles Dodgers are one of a few teams in the race to sign Alex Guerrero, according to sources.

A power-hitting Cuban infielder, Guerrero was reportedly close to a deal with the Dodgers a several weeks ago. The agreement fell apart when it was determined that Guerrero's first representatives were not certified agents.

The first deal was reportedly for $32 million over five seasons.

The San Francisco Giants, Boston Red Sox, Cincinnati Reds and Texas Rangers have also been linked to Guerrero.
