The Rangers haven't ruled out signing Kyle Lohse and a recent injury to prospect Martin Perez has spiked speculation that there is a fit.

Perez is expected to miss a minimum of two months.

Texas has reportedly remained in contact with Lohse's agent, Scott Boras. The Rangers are hesitating in part because of the draft pick compensation tied to the pitcher.
