The Tigers and Max Scherzer are headed to an arbitration hearing next week.

Scherzer is asking for a $7.4 million salary, while Detroit is offering $6.05 million, according to a report.

No player has gotten to a hearing during Dave Dombrowski's 12-year tenure. It's possible that Scherzer will avoid a hearing as well.
