Joe Saunders wants to pitch for a contender and sign a multi-year deal.

He also would like to return to the Orioles, who acquired in a midseason trade with the Diamondbacks.

"I'm a pretty patient kind of guy. I've always been that kind of guy, to really wait and see how it all plays out," Saunders said.

"First and foremost, I'd like to come back to Baltimore and do some great things in 2013. But, from my standpoint, my hands are kind of tied. I pay my agent to do his job and hopefully it all works out."
