Josh Hamilton left the winter meetings in Nashville without a contract on Tuesday night.

The Rangers are reportedly engaged in a battle with the Dodgers for Zack Greinke. Los Angeles seems to have an endless checkbook, which leads many to believe they'll eventually sign Greinke.

That leaves Texas to pool their resources towards re-signing Hamilton.
