The Rangers haven't ruled out re-signing Josh Hamilton and Jon Daniels said the lines of communication remain open.

"Mike [Moye, Hamilton's agent] and I have maintained dialogue and I think the way that we have chosen to proceed here is that we're not necessarily driving the timetable," Daniels said. "There may come a time when we need to change that, but so far it's been fine."

Next week's Winter Meetings should get the market moving and that could change all timetables.

Hamilton had 43 homers, 128 RBIs and hit .285 in 148 games in 2012.
