Mark Teixeira hopes to return to the Yankees this weekend. He hasn't played since Aug. 27 when he strained his left calf.

"I was hoping Thursday a couple of days ago, but I would like to be back sometime during the weekend," he said.

Teixeira leads the Yankees with 81 RBI. Since he went down, New York is just 2-5.
