The Yankees have released Kosuke Fukudome, according to the media department of Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Fukudome signed a minor league contract with New York in mid-July. He never made it to the Major League level with the team.
The White Sox cut Fukudome after signing him to a one-year, $1 million deal before the 2012 season. He played in just 24 games for Chicago.
