The July 31 non-waiver trade deadline has passed, but that doesn't mean teams can't add talent for the playoff push in August. There have been 38 deals in August over the past three seasons, with nine of them coming on the final day of the month. The final day of the month is the last day in which players can be traded and still remain eligible for postseason rosters. Jeff Francouer of the Royals could once again be dealt in August.
