Orlando Cabrera announced his retirement from Major League Baseball during an appearance on a Colombian radio station this week. Cabrera, a 15-year veteran of nine different teams, retires after hitting .238 with five home runs and 51 RBIs in 130 games in 2011, split between the Indians (91 games) and the Giants (39 games). He won one World Series with the Red Sox in 2004 and two Gold Glove Awards, with the Expos in 2001 and the Angels in 2007.
