The Marlins appear to be close to signing free-agent shortstop Jose Reyes.
Miami has offered Reyes a deal worth at least $111 million, according to sources.
The Marlins would pay Reyes $106 million for six years, with an option for a seventh year for $22 million. If they decide not to use the option, they would pay Reyes $5 million, according to sources.
Earlier in the offseason, Miami offered Reyes a six-year, $90 million deal, which he rejected.
