The Diamondbacks haven't ruled out prospect Trevor Bauer progressing to the major leagues before the end of the season. Bauer made his third and perhaps final start for High-A Visalia on Tuesday night, striking out eight in four innings. He has 17 strikeouts in nine innings for Visalia and is expected to be promoted to Double-A Mobile before his next start. "The stuff is really good," vice president Jerry Dipoto said. "It took him a couple of starts to get the release point and the feel for where he was after not pitching for so long." Counting his junior season at UCLA, Bauer has thrown 145 2/3 innings, and Dipoto said he is comfortable with Bauer throwing up to about 175.
