The St. Louis Post-Dispatch writes that Albert Pujols may have hurt his value by not re-signing with the Cardinals before or during the season.
It may be doubtful that the Cardinals will offer the first baseman the nine-year, $200 million contract they did previously.
It's one year later and St. Louis may look to offer a shorter term.
Pujols has also endured a decrease in his offensive numbers this season.
