The Yankees should have Alex Rodriguez back in the lineup by the end of next week. Rodriguez, out since July 8 with a torn meniscus in his right knee that was surgically repaired July 11, is scheduled to play in a pair of minor league games this weekend. After that, the third baseman will be re-evaluated. The Yankees will host the Rays this weekend before heading to Kansas City for three games and then Minnesota for four contests beginning next Thursday. "Will we have him in Kansas City? I don't know," manager Joe Girardi said. "I would think by Minnesota we would have him." New York is concerned with Rodriguez's fitness. "We'll have to build him up," Girardi said. "I think the most important thing is that he feels comfortable and that he feels that he's moving freely."
