There is cause for concern in New York after closer Mariano Rivera recorded his third-straight poor outing on Thursday afternoon.
Rivera has allowed four earned runs in his last three outings, including a pair of home runs.
He blew a save against the Red Sox on Sunday night and Tuesday night he took the loss against the Angels.
Heading into New York's extra-inning loss to Boston on Sunday, the right-hander's ERA was 1.70.
His streak of poor performances has pushed his ERA up to 2.40 in just a matter of days.
