Padres right-handed pitching prospect Casey Kelly is approaching 10 wins with Double-A San Antonio this season.
Kelly is 9-3 with a 4.18 ERA in 19 starts in the Texas League. In 103 1/3 innings, he has a .294 batting average against.
Over his last 10 starts, he is 5-2 with a 4.08 ERA in 53 innings.
Kelly was drafted by the Red Sox with the 30th overall pick in the 2008 First-Year Player Draft. San Diego acquired him from Boston in the Adrian Gonzalez trade last December.
