Phillies starter Cole Hamels left Thursday afternoon's start against the Red Sox after taking a line drive off his non-pitching hand. The drive came off the bat of Boston's Adrian Gonzalez. Hamels was taken for X-rays, which were negative. Phillies manager Charlie Manuel said the pitcher suffered a "real good bruise" under his thumb and that his hand was bandaged. But Hamels was able to move his hands and fingers. He is expected to start on Tuesday against the Marlins.
