After the Yankees and Jorge Posada moved past issues over weekend when the designated hitter asked out of the lineup against the Red Sox, another matter has appeared. Sources claim that Posada refused to catch a game during spring training when asked, but the former catcher denies the story. Posada cited headaches and concern over the concussion syndrome he suffered after taking a foul ball off the mask the previous September, according to the sources. Monday, however, Posada adamantly denied he was ever asked to catch in a game this spring. "Not at all. Not once. A hundred percent," he said. "Not even close. They told me to go to the bullpen and stuff so I caught in the bullpen every once in a while, but they never asked me (to catch in a game)."
