Albert Pujols insists that he isn't going to discuss his ongoing negotiations with the Cardinals on a possible contract extension.
He is signed through 2011, the final year of a deal that will end up paying him a total of $111 million.
The first baseman has set a deadline for negotiations of when Spring Training begins next month.
"Let's set it up and straight," Pujols said.
"My agent is talking with Bill [DeWitt, the club's principal owner] and [general manager John Mozeliak], and let's leave it up to that. We'll tell you guys. Whenever we get a deal done, I think everybody's going to know. And that's it."
