The Athletics have agreed to terms with left-handed reliever Brian Fuentes on a two-year contract, according to a source.
Fuentes must still pass a physical to make the deal official.
The California native was 4-1 with 24 saves and a 2.81 ERA in 48 appearances and 48 innings with the Angels and Twins in 2010.
It's unclear what role he will have considering Oakland has used 2009 AL Rookie of the Year Andrew Bailey in the closer role.
