Albert Pujols won't discuss a contract extension with the Cardinals once Spring Training kicks off.
St. Louis general manager John Mozeliak said that he has been told by the agent for Pujols that the first baseman has set a deadline of Feb. 18 to get an extension done.
"We have been notified that Spring Training would be the deadline," Mozeliak said.
Feb. 18 is when the Cardinals have scheduled infielders and outfielders to report.
Pujols is entering the final year of a contract that will end up paying him $111 million over eight seasons.
