Former major leaguer David Sisler, the last surviving child of Baseball Hall of Famer George Sisler, has died at 79.
David Sisler's son told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that his father died from complications from prostate cancer.
George Sisler, who spent 12 of 15 seasons with the St. Louis Browns, twice hit over .400 in a season and long held the single-season hits record.
