Carlos Beltran says the Mets haven't yet approached him about moving to allow someone like Angel Pagan to play center field. Knee issues have hampered Beltran's speed and agility. "No one has really approached me about that," Beltran said. "I have never been a selfish player. This is not about Carlos, this is about the team. If it's best for the team to send somebody out (in center field) that can do a better job than what I do, then I have no problem. If they want me to play right or whatever, I have no problem with that." For now, Beltran said he will enter spring training expecting to be the everyday center fielder, even though he will have to wear a knee brace while playing.
