For the first time in his storied career Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter is free to talk with any team in baseball.
Jeter became a free agent on Saturday night when his most recent contract expired and he wasn't able to come to terms with New York on a new agreement before hitting the open market.
He is expected to return to the Yankees, but the length and value of his contract will be hotly debated.
