The Rangers acquired five players from the Braves in exchange for first baseman Mark Teixeira on July 31, 2007. On Sunday, two of those players -- shortstop Elvis Andrus and closer Neftali Feliz -- were named to the 2010 American League All-Star roster. The other three players acquired from Atlanta were pitchers Matt Harrison and Beau Jones, and catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia. "Obviously they weren't originally drafted or signed by us, but I still look at them as products of our scouting and development system," general manager Jon Daniels said of Andrus and Feliz. "I am happy for those guys. They have worked exceptionally hard. You're talking about two spots -- shortstop and [closer] -- that are constantly under the microscope. For them to handle it takes not only talent, but they are intelligent as well."
