Mets general manager Omar Minaya's job is safe despite the team's disappointing season. "Am I going to bring Omar back next year? Absolutely. That's a fact," owner Fred Wilpon told the New York Post. If Minaya returns, manager Jerry Manuel is expected to retain his job as well. Minaya is in the first year of a three-year extension signed after the 2008 season. Manuel has one year left on his deal.
