David Wright is "embarrassed" by his presence on the disabled list and plans to return as soon as possible. Wright suffered a concussion after being hit on the helmet with a fastball from San Francisco's Matt Cain. "I always told myself that that was one of my goals, was staying off the DL," Wright told the New York Post. "I take a lot of pride in going out there and playing every day. It's something where I just wish that I could go out there and play." Wright will be eligible to come off the disabled list on Aug. 31. The Mets have said it's possible that Wright could miss the remainder of the season.
