Mets reliever Billy Wagner is open to a possible trade to a contending club. Wagner is returning 11 months after Tommy John surgery, and told the New York Daily News on Monday that he wouldn't stand in the way of a deal prior to the Aug. 31 deadline to be eligible for a postseason roster. The reliever's contract has an $8 million option for next season with a $1 million buyout. It also has no-trade protection. Wagner is scheduled to throw a bullpen session at Citi Field on Tuesday.
