Miami-Dade county has agreed to pay a share of the costs for a new ballpark in Miami for the Florida Marlins. The team had been looking for financing help for more than a decade. "I'm slightly numb," Marlins owner Jeffery Loria said after the vote. "I just feel good for everybody involved. It's not about me. It's about what we do. I'm thrilled for everybody." When the new stadium with a retractable roof opens, the team will be renamed the Miami Marlins.
