Sidney Ponson could start for the Yankees in their split doubleheader against the Mets on Friday, according to The New York Post. He solidified his positioning with a respectable start for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Saturday. "He's one of the candidates," said Manager Joe Girardi, who added Alan Horne, Jeff Karstens, and Kei Igawa also are under consideration for the start.
