Alfonso Soriano will bat in the leadoff spot for the Cubs when he returns to the active roster, according to the Chicago Tribune. He is expected to return from the disabled list on May 1st against the Brewers; Reed Johnson is currently hitting first for the Cubs with Soriano out of the lineup. "Yeah, we'll put him back in left field and lead him off," Manager Lou Pinella said. "We want to make sure he can do all the things a leadoff hitter needs to do. We don't really want to take any chances here early in the year of bringing him back too soon, and all of a sudden we have another problem on our hands."
