Padres Unveil New Brown-And-Gold Color Uniforms

The Padres unveiled new uniforms Saturday night that feature a brown-and-gold color scheme, similar to the one used from the franchise's inception in 1969 through 1984.

The new uniforms were unveiled at Petco Park in front a few thousand fans by players Fernando Tatis Jr., Eric Hosmer and Manny Machado.

The song "Baby Shark" blared over loudspeakers and a wave of red washed across this politically blue capital Saturday as Nationals fans rejoiced at a parade marking Washington's first World Series victory since 1924.

"They say good things come to those who wait. Ninety-five years is a pretty long wait," Nationals owner Ted Lerner told the cheering crowd. "But I'll tell you, this is worth the wait."

Champion Nationals To Visit White House Monday

The Washington Nationals, who will have a parade to celebrate their World Series title Saturday, will visit President Donald Trump at the White House on Monday, according to a White House official.

A ceremony for the Nationals will be held on the South Lawn at 1:15 p.m. ET, the official said.

Cole went seven often-laborious innings in Houston's 4-1 win, striking out seven and walking a career-high-tying five batters. But he held New York to just four hits over his seven scoreless frames, extending his streak of starts without a loss to 25, dating back to May 22.
