* Note: Players in bold are my picks to outperform their ADPs.

This year’s outfield crop includes sure-fire studs at the top, with a noticeable drop starting in tier 3 (due either to injury concerns or uncertainty due to youth). But with that said, many intriguing players sit in the lower levels, some of which will find their way into the top tiers next season.  Deducing who those players will be turns into the tough part.

From my crystal ball, Bryce Harper finally puts together a monster season, Jay Bruce bounces back and youngsters Betts, Ozuna and Solar put up fantasy mainstay type campaigns.

How would I recommend approaching the outfield position from a fantasy perspective? In a perfect world, try to grab two (total) outfielders from the tier 1 and 2 group, and then wait a bit and jump in for some of the youngsters. Try to go with upside after you snag your top guys, as there will be a handful of guys in the lower tiers that will pop and bring you a great ROI.
