The New York Yankees have agreed to a seven-year, $70 million contract extension with Aaron Hicks.

The deal includes the 2019 season, according to a report.

Hicks was scheduled to become a free agent after this season and he'll now be controlled through his age-35 season.

The Cleveland Indians have signed Hanley Ramirez to a minor league deal.

Ramirez was released by the Boston Red Sox last June 1st.

Ramirez could have a roster spot with the Indians at first base or designated hitter.

The Cincinnati Reds have signed shortstop Jose Iglesias, the team announced Saturday.

The minor league deal includes an invite to big league camp.

Iglesias hit .269 with five home runs and 48 RBIs for the Detroit Tigers in 2018.

The St. Louis Cardinals have signed Jose Martinez to a new two-year deal.

Martinez led the Cardinals with a .305 batting average and 163 hits last season. He was also second on the team with 83 RBIs.

"Jose has been a key contributor to our team since his acquisition in 2016, and we're pleased to announce this new two-year deal," Cardinals president of baseball operations John Mozeliak said in a statement. "Jose has proven to be a key member of our roster and he is someone who brings high energy and passion for our team and its fans."

The Minnesota Twins have agreed to a two-year, $21 million deal with Marvin Gonzalez, according to league sources.

The deal is worth $12 million this season and $9 million in 2020.

Gonzalez played every position except catcher and pitcher for the Houston Astros last season.

The Los Angeles Angels have signed Dan Jennings to a Minor League deal with an invite to Spring Training.

The left-hander appeared in 72 games last season for the Milwaukee Brewers and had a 3.22 ERA.

The Detroit Tigers have agreed to a one-year, $2 million contract with Josh Harrison, according to a source.

The Pittsburgh Pirates declined a $10.5 million option on Harrison for 2019 back in November.

The 31-year-old had spent his entire Major League career with the Pirates.

Manny Machado has agreed to sign with the San Diego Padres on a 10-year, $300 million deal. Machado will have an opt-out after the fifth season. The deal is the largest free agent contract in American sports history.

Machado finished last season with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Machado was also pursued by the Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago White Sox.

Bob Nightengale reports the Padres offered Machado an eight-year deal worth between $240 million and $280 million.

Free-agent third baseman Mike Moustakas is headed back to the Milwaukee Brewers on a one-year, $10 million deal, a league source confirmed to ESPN's Jeff Passan on Sunday. There is a mutual option on a second year.

The Athletic was first to report the agreement.

The Chicago Cubs have signed Xavier Cedeno to add another left-handed option to their bullpen, according to sources.

Cedeno, 32, went 2-0 with a 2.43 ERA and 34 strikeouts in 33 1/3 innings last season. He split it between the Chicago White Sox and Milwaukee Brewers.
