Rumors of an injury behind Braden Looper's right shoulder and an inability to get out lefties has the Mets, who hold a $5 million club option on Looper with a $250,000 buyout, looking down I-95 at Philadelphia closer Billy Wagner.
"[Setting up for Wagner] is a possibility, but it'd have to be the right situation," Looper said. "You want to get treated a certain way, be in a situation where a team wants you. It'd be hard to say no in that situation.
"Our team would improve by adding a guy like that, and I'm sure they'll make other additions. This is going to be a good team."
