The Pittsburgh Pirates plan to talk to Chicago White Soxs' bench coach Joey Cora about their manager's job, which has been open for nearly a month. The Pirates have sought a manager since Jim Tracy was let go Oct. 5 after two seasons, with one year remaining on his contract. The Pirates lost 95 games in 2006 and 94 games this season. Pirates' General Manager Neal Huntington, hired during the final 10 days of the season, has disclosed few details about the search and has declined to reveal who he is interviewing. With Cora under contract to the White Sox, the Pirates had to seek their approval before interviewing him.
