Mets starter Orlando Hernandez limped out of the clubhouse Monday night with a boot on his right foot to protect a bunion, and the team listed him as day to day. The right-hander was scratched from his turn in the rotation Monday because of what the Mets said was a sore foot, and Brian Lawrence started against the Nationals. The Mets lost 12-4. After the game, Mets GM Omar Minaya said Hernandez has a bunion.
