Washington Nationals second baseman Jose Vidro is expected to miss at least three more weeks after an MRI exam Friday showed a partially torn tendon on the outside of his left ankle.
Vidro went to Cincinnati on Friday to get a second opinion on the injury. He left a game in Los Angeles on May 4 because of the ankle, then went on the 15-day disabled list Monday.
He was hitting .290 with six doubles, four home runs and 15 RBI.
Vidro was fitted Friday for a boot that he'll wear for seven to 10 days.
