San Francisco outfielder Moises Alou was placed on the 15-day disabled list Friday retroactive to Aug. 3 with a right hamstring strain. The Giants are confident Alou will be healthy enough to be activated when he's eligible Thursday at Cincinnati, manager Felipe Alou said. Alou is batting .328 with 13 home runs and 43 RBIs. Right-hander Scott Munter also went on the DL with right elbow inflammation. San Francisco recalled outfielder Todd Linden and right-hander Jeremy Accardo from Triple-A Fresno. Linden, who leads the Pacific Coast League with 30 home runs in 95 games, was in the lineup Friday night against the Florida Marlins.
