Sean Manaea will hit the free agent market this winter, according to a report.

Manaea will opt out of the second year of his contract with the New York Mets, which would play him $13.5 million, "barring unforeseen circumstances."

The left-hander has signed two-year deals with opt-out provisions in each of the past two offseasons.

"I like to think it's fun because it's a new adventure," Manaea said. "I mean, it's a little nerve-wracking when you're not with a team most of the offseason, but it's all part of the adventure."
