Jordan Montgomery made his 10th start of the season for the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday night, unlocking the player option for the 2025 season in his contract.

The option carries a base value of $20 million.

After lingering in free agency, Montgomery signed a one-year, $25 million deal with the Diamondbacks with the conditional player option.

The left-hander has a 6.58 ERA and 32 strikeouts in 52 innings pitched this season.
