Bud Selig addressed the weather issue on Monday, a concern people throughout baseball have expressed after snow fell hard in Cleveland.
"Games have been getting snowed out for a long time," he said. "It's very difficult . . . you can't please everyone. We've had some warm Aprils. This year has been a disaster."
"I had one warm-weather team tell me today, 'We don't want to be home in April,' " Selig also said. " 'After all, we've got dates all year long. We want to be home when you can make money and draw people.'
"We do the best we can. We try to squeeze 162 games in a 182-day season. It's very difficult."
