Sandy Alderson has officially transitioned from team president to an advisory role with the New York Mets.
It's the culmination of a process first announced in September.
Alderson, who served as the Mets' general manager from 2010-18, returned to the club as president when Steve Cohen purchased the franchise from the Wilpon family after the 2020 season.
