The Boston Red Sox are promoting first base coach Ramon Vazquez to bench coach, according to a report.

Vazquez takes over for Will Venable, who joined the Texas Rangers last month in a role under manager Bruce Bochy.

Vazquez, 46, has been a member of Boston's coaching staff since 2018.
