Andrew Chafin will decline his $6.5 million player option with the Detroit Tigers for 2023, according to a report.

The reliever will hit the open market five days after the World Series ends.

The 32-year-old had a 2.83 ERA and 67 strikeouts in 57.1 innings pitched this season.
