The Baltimore Orioles beat the Los Angeles Angels 9-5 on Sunday afternoon, cruising to their eight-straight victory.

It marked their first four-game sweep of the Angels since 2003. The Orioles hadn't won eight consecutive games in a season since April 22 to May 1, 2005.

Baltimore has lost more than 100 games in three of the last four seasons.

"I've been waiting for a week like this for a long time, for most of my career," Trey Mancini said. "It's something that I certainly don't take for granted. We're just having a really good time in here, playing so well as a team."

The Orioles are just one game under .500 (43-44) and two games back in the American League Wild Card race.
