The New York Yankees have traded reliever Manny Banuelos to the Pittsburgh Pirates in a minor cash trade.

New York designated Banuelos for assignment last Tuesday and had a week to trade him, release him, or place him on waivers. 

He had a 2.16 ERA in 8 1/3 innings this season.
